When: Friday, July 17 – Sunday, July 19

Duration: Weekend only

We are welcoming a large crowd of campers this weekend for the Pachena Bay Music Festival! Because our private sites will be at full capacity, we kindly ask everyone to cooperate and keep the campground safe:

  • Share the Space: Take only the space your group genuinely needs.
  • Have Safe Fun: Have an amazing time, but please look out for one another and do not drink and drive.
  • Be a Good Neighbour: Respect those camping around you.
  • Follow the Rules: Adhere to all established campsite rules and regulations.
  • Pack It In, Pack It Out: Please take all your garbage, recycling, and gear with you when you leave. Leave no trace!

Reminder: Category 1, Category 2, and Category 3 open fires are strictly prohibited across the Coastal Fire Centre as of Thursday, July 16, 2026. To report a wildfire or irresponsible behaviour: Call 1-800-663-5555 or dial *5555 on your cell.

National Indigenous People’s Day

We are happy to announce that Huu-ay-aht First Nations will be hosting a National Indigenous Peoples Day event at Pachena Bay Beach (citizen private sites), Friday, June 20, 2025. Enjoy a BBQ meal with hamburgers, hot dogs, salmon, and activities. We look forward to a fun day with you!

Everyone is welcome, bring friends, family, and a side dish to share. Notice to Anacla and Bamfield residents

The Pachena Bay campground will be closed to the public from June 26-28 due to a Private function hosted by the Kindle Arts Society.

 

No citizens or visitors will be permitted entry and a temporary fence will be erected to maintain the privacy of our guests. The side beach will remain accessible.

 

Both security guards and the RCMP will be on site during the function. Please respect the privacy of our guests during this time.

 

The Kindle Arts Society is a non-profit society dedicated to creating art in the community of Victoria. Their private function at Pachena Bay (known as “Otherworld”) is an experiment in temporary community.

 

If you would like to learn more about the Kindle Arts Society, visit their open house from 10-12 on June 27 at the campground. This is the only time that guests will be permitted during the event.
