Wild About Wolves Project

Huu-ay-aht First Nations partnered with Parks Canada and a number of other organizations and nations to discuss wolves. Out of their workshop and discussions a number of short documentaries were produced. Please see the following links to check it out. Elk Draws

The Lands and Natural Resources Department is happy to announce that the Nation has allocated two Elk for this season and is offering a Lottery to qualified Huu-ay-aht citizens for this hunting season. Applications will be accepted until August 31,2023  (closing at 4 pm).

The harvest area will be in the Klanawa Watershed (Elk Hunt Zone 1- 03B-Klanawa) which is within the Maa-nulth Wildlife Harvest Area. The HFN Elk season will run September 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024.
