Wild About Wolves Project
Huu-ay-aht First Nations partnered with Parks Canada and a number of other organizations and nations to discuss wolves. Out of their workshop and discussions a number of short documentaries were produced. Please see the following links to check it out. The Lands and Resources Department is happy to announce that the Nation has been allocated one Elk for this season and is offering a Lottery to qualified HFN citizens for this hunting season. Applications will be accepted August 2nd to 16th, 2019 (closing at 4:00 pm) at both offices (PAGO & AGO) and by e-mail. Application forms will be available at both HFN Government Offices where licenses and certificates can also be brought in for copying.
The harvest area will be in the Klanawa Watershed (Elk Hunt Zone 1- 03B-Klanawa) which is within the Maa-nulth Wildlife Harvest Area. The HFN Elk season will run September 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020. Click on the above link for more information, and download the application form below.
