Project Background:
Huu-ay-aht First Nations has acquired a vertical hydroponic farm unit from Growcer, creating an opportunity to improve local food security while building a sustainable social enterprise. Located in Anacla, the farm will produce fresh vegetables year-round, providing residents of both Anacla and Bamfield with reliable access to nutritious, locally grown food.
Hydroponic farming allows plants to grow without soil, using water enriched with the nutrients they need to thrive. The farm will grow a variety of crops, including lettuce, spinach, kale, and fresh herbs such as basil and mint.
As a social enterprise, the initiative balances community benefit with financial sustainability. Revenue from produce sales will help cover operating costs, support local employment, and ensure the farm’s long-term viability, allowing it to continue delivering social, economic, and health benefits to the community.

Requirements:
- Circular shape
- Simple design with no tiny or intricate details. The smallest details should be visible on a round print about 5- 7 cm in diameter.
- Following the Huu-ay-aht colour brand guide, featuring green most prominently. (images below)
- Freedom to allow space for text within the design; will accept ones with and without.
