Huu-ay-aht First Nations Implements On-Leash Dog Areas in Upper and Lower Anacla

Effective Wednesday, September 17 at 12 p.m. noon, all dogs must be on-leash while in the residential areas of Upper and Lower Anacla, as shown within the purple hatched area in the map above.

This designation is in accordance of Section 13 of the Animal Control and Care Regulation, and is intended to support residents’ safe and comfortable enjoyment of their properties free from roaming dogs.

Owners who do not ensure their dogs are on-leash within designated areas may be subject to fines up to $200.

We thank all residents and visitor for helping to keep these areas enjoyable for all residents.
