Huu-ay-at First Nations kicked off our 2024 Youth Gathering on Saturday, July 13, 2024 in Anacla at The House of Huu-ay-aht, followed by a second session in Victoria on September 21, 2024.
Huu-ay-aht is finishing off the Youth Gatherings in Port Alberni on October 26, 2024 at the Best Western Barclay Hotel – 4277 Stamp Ave.
These gatherings are meant to bring our youth together, to help build their understanding of Huu-ay-aht Government, and to hear how Huu-ay-aht’s vision is aligning with Huu-ay-aht Youth and their future.
The days will consist of various activities, like a Visioning Workshop, Huu-ay-aht guest speakers, wellness booths, wellness activites, sharing meals, stories, craft making, and culture. There will also be three grand prize draws at the end of each day.
Once the Port Alberni Youth Gathering ends at 5 p.m., we invite all Huu-ay-aht citizens to join for dinner and the Halloween Dance. Don’t forget your costume!
