Pacific Rim National Park Reserve for Spring Break

The Kwisitis Visitor Centre on Wickaninnish Beach is a great place to come and view the wonderful exhibits that speak to the natural and cultural aspects of the West Coast.  Many of the exhibits were developed in cooperation with community members from 8 different Nuu-chah-nulth nations and speak to the rich and vibrant culture of the area.

The Kwisitis Visitor Centre outdoor observation deck is also a wonderful land-based whale watching area.  Sightings of gray whales making their way up the coast throughout March, although unpredictable, are frequent at the Kwisitis Visitor Centre.

The Kwisitis Visitor Centre is open Wednesday through Sunday 10am until 4:30pm, closed Monday and Tuesday.  An exception will be on Tuesday, March 18th, 2014 when the Kwisitis Visitor Centre will be open from 1pm until 4pm.

The Pacific Rim Whale Festival (March 15th – 23rd, 2014) offers many different activities in the communities of Tofino and Ucluelet as well as Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. For a schedule of events please see their website at http://www.pacificrimwhalefestival.com/events
