Huu-ay-aht Vendors!
Huu-ay-aht Vendors! Please fill out the vendor form if you want to sell some artwork, handmade clothes, or something else. Please note: depending on how many vendors register, you may only be guaranteed half a table. Space is limited. No sales can be made during the meeting, we ask that transactions be made during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Ensure you understand the following:
- All Citizens 18 and older must register for themselves.
- Please review the Attendance at the People’s Assembly Policy on our website,click here
- Transportation assistance is available to all citizens (gas, ferry, bus). Hotel accommodations are available to citizens living 100 km or more away from the location of the event.
- 2024 People’s Assembly is a drug and alcohol free event
How to register
- Online: click here
- Call the Port Alberni Office at 250-723-0100 and ask someone to help you register
- Walk-in to the Port Alberni or Anacla Government Office and ask someone to help you register
Deadline to register: Friday, November 1, 2024
If citizens miss the registration deadline, it is their responsibility to book their travel and accommodations. Please keep your ferry receipts (food receipts not covered) and hotel receipts and the Nation will reimburse you. Please note, it can take up to two weeks after receiving receipts for payment.

Citizen of the Year Nominations
Do you know an amazing Huu-ay-aht citizen and want to recognize them for it?
Nominations should be based on excellence in one or more of the following areas:
- Nominee has had an positive impact in the community
- Nominee has demonstrated a personal commitment to the benefit of the community
- Has performed an outstanding achievement or act of heroism
- The community has benefited from this person’s involvement
- Has overcome significant personal adversity
- Has positive and inspiring personal attributes that serve to encourage others

How would you like to receive your materials?
For the 2024 People’s Assembly, we provide the option to receive the materials via email or mailing. We ask that all citizens fill out this survey to confirm their preferred delivery method and the correct mailing address or email. Please know that the materials sent via email or mailing are the only copies given to citizens. No extras will be provided at the People’s Assembly on Saturday, November 16. If you select Mail (physical copy), it is your responsibility to bring the materials to the People’s Assembly.
Please note:
- Every Citizen over the age of 18 must complete this form
- If you choose to receive your materials by address, the address given will be updated in the Huu-ay-aht Database
- If selecting to receive your materials via email, you will be asked to confirm your address for the Huu-ay-aht Database, we will still send you materials via email as requested.
