Effective June 1, 2020, Huu-ay-aht will begin putting its restart plan in to action.
As of March 18, 2020, the Nation did its part to minimize the spread of colds, the flu, and, most importantly, COVID-19 by switching to remote operations.
Starting on Monday, staff will begin a gradual return to work, after working remotely for almost three months. The offices will remain closed to the public and operate with no more than 10 people at either the Anacla or Port Alberni Government Offices.
We will continue taking your calls and dealing with the day-to-day operations, and staff who are not scheduled to be in the office will continue to work remotely. We have also implemented many safety precautions to keep everyone healthy, both in the office and in their community. If you would like more information, please refer to the Safety Plan that Huu-ay-aht will be following in its offices. Click on the link to see a copy: WorkSafe BC Safety Plan
Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe and healthy during this difficult time.
